home recording studio

Hi! I'm Sam. Creator of Studio Hacking.

For my first 3 years a podcast host, I was always frustrated by the poor quality of my recordings.

I knew that I needed to step up my game and create a professional-grade home studio if I wanted my show to stand out. So I set out on a mission to create the perfect home recording setup - but little did I know, I was in for a wild ride.

First, there was the trial and error. I spent thousands of dollars on equipment that I thought I needed, only to find out that it was either the wrong type of gear for my needs, or it didn't work well with my other equipment. It was a frustrating and expensive lesson, but I was determined to keep going.

Then, there was the research. I spent hours upon hours reading forums, watching videos, and talking to other audio enthusiasts in order to learn as much as I could about home recording. I learned about the different types of microphones, audio interfaces, and other equipment that I would need, as well as the best ways to set up and optimize my studio.

Finally, after months of hard work and perseverance, I was able to put it all together and create a home studio that was perfect for my needs. It wasn't easy, and it certainly wasn't cheap - but it was worth it.

And that's why I created this website - to help others avoid the costly mistakes that I made, and to provide valuable information and tips for setting up a professional-grade home studio on a budget. I call it "Studio Hacking", and it has become my passion project. So if you're looking to create your own home studio, stick around - I've got plenty of advice to share.
